God's Word - God's Creation - Godly Role Models

Best Summers of My Life

"As a teenager, I worked at camp for 2 summers.  Those were 2 of the best summers of my life.  I worked hard but they were extremely rewarding!  They were definitely mountaintop experiences.  I grew in my faith during those two summers and felt a true burden for the lost!  We ministered to so many children from so many walks of life.  It was a great opportunity to teach children and teens about God and his word.  I have made many friends at Victory Valley Camp and several friendships still exist from my time at camp as a camper and counselor. I believe it's fair to say that they will be life long friendships!" -- Carolyn Cruise, former staff, former camper, camper Mom, church leader

Summer 2013 Arrival Day Arrival Day Instructions
Arrival Day Check-In Process PDF Print E-mail

Dear Victory Valley Family,

It's almost time to pack up and head to Victory Valley Camp for a terrific week of God's word in God's creation with Godly role models. Please read this entire note for details on what to do on arrival day at camp.

Health Form: If you have not yet completed our Health Form (either online or on paper), please download one, complete it and bring it with you, along with copies of your health insurance card. If we don't have a Health Form on file for you already, we'll ask you to complete one when you arrive.

Map & Directions: If you're a new Victory Valley family, or just need a reminder how to get here, there's a map and directions on our website.  If using a GPS, the entrance location is 7352 Salem Bible Church Road, Zionsville, PA 18092.

What to Bring (and Not to Bring) List: As always, our list is on our website. Print it out and use it to hunt the house for the things you need.

Cabin Assignments:
We have made every effort to put campers with their Groups or Cabinmate preference. You should receive a note by email a few days before arrival with your child's cabin assignment. Feel free to contact your friends if you want to make sure we got you together, and contact us if you have any questions. ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it | 610-966-5880) If you don't have an email address, don't worry. When you arrive at camp, one of our Summer Missionaries in the Cabin area will have a Cabin assignment list.

Arrival Time is 4 p.m. on Sunday. You will be directed to park in the field next to the pavilion, where you can unload your luggage for the walk to the cabin area. For the safety of our Campers, vehicles are not permitted in the cabin area (with the exception of parents whose handicap would make it difficult to accompany the Camper any other way.) Please remember, registration only begins at 4 p.m. as our staff are preparing to receive your children. Starting at 4 p.m., you can walk back to the cabin area with your camper. (Departure time is 9:00 a.m. on Saturday.)

For Outpost Adventure campers: Your sign in will be done right next to the parking area at the pavilion. Here you will load your luggage on our wagon and meet your counselor to sign in.  If you need to see the Camp Nurse, please follow the directions below.

Camp Nurse: If your Camper has medications (prescription or OTC) or you need to speak with the Camp Nurse about anything, stop by our Health Center, which is on the right on the way to the cabin area. By the way, now would be a good time to download the health form, fill it out and mail it in with a copy of your health insurance card. If your Camper has no medications, has already submitted the health form and you have no questions for the Camp Nurse, proceed directly to your cabin.

The Counselor will meet you at the cabin and ask you to sign in. If someone other than you is going to pick up the camper at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, you must note that on the sheet. We will not release your Camper, even to a friend or family member, without your written permission.

After your Camper meets the Counselor and gets settled in the Cabin, it's time for hugs and kisses and prayers and goodbyes. Parents will make their way back to their vehicles, and campers will be directed by our Summer Missionaries what to do next. You will also have some time to stop in at our Gift Shop if you wish.

Camper Contact: During the course of the week, Campers do not have access to a telephone (and cell phones are not permitted), however, you will be able to send mail via the postal service, or email to your camper, as well as to view photos of what's happening at Victory Valley each day. You'll receive further instructions from your child's counselor when you sign them in. Campers may also send letters home. You may always contact the Camp Office with any questions or concerns: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it | 610-966-5880

Emergencies: If your Camper should experience any illness or significant injury, our Camp Nurse will contact you using the phone number(s) you provided when you registered. We always seek parent input before transporting a Camper to the physician or emergency room. This happens very rarely.

Homesickness: It is normal for some Campers to experience some "homesickness" (because they love you), however, for almost all of them, this condition is short-lived and soon overcome by the excitement of camp and the joy of making new friends. We want this to be a great experience for your Camper and we want you to rest assured that your child is in the care of people who understand children. Victory Valley Camp has 56 years of accumulated wisdom in helping children enjoy God's creation, understand God's word, and have a lot of fun.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us: This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it | 610-966-5880

We're grateful that you have entrusted your child to us for the week, and we join you in praying that God will use this experience to draw him or her closer to Jesus Christ.

In Christ,
Doug Manwiller, director | 610-966-5880
