The work began on October 6, 2017 when the first piece of equipment rolled in to begin site work for the construction of the new Dining Hall and Kitchen. On November 16th and 17th the excavators prepared the site for the pouring of the footers. On June 21, 2018, we received out tempory Certificate of Occupancy and Summer Camp began on June 24. The camp was full in summer 2018 with 950 children attending our 3 summer programs. The new addition of a larger and air conditioned dining hall and kitchen enhanced our summer. God worked in the children's hearts are our staff shared Jesus all summer.

Phase 2 of the building project: Finish the lower level and pave the delivery driveway by Spring 2019.

The Gift Shop, camp offices and additional meeting space was the next step. This phase was finished in the spring of 2019. The meeting room was used for summer 2019 for our discipleship program for the summer staff.

Finishing touches.

With the use of the new Dinning Hall we realized the need for sound panels and window shades. The sound panels make a big difference in the noise level and the shade reduced the glare and also keeps it cooler in the summer. Both of these items were added to the project costs.

Groundbreaking Ceremony
September 9th, 2017

Groundbreaking took place next to Victory Hall where the new Dining Hall and Kitchen will be built. The Lord provided a beautiful sunny day for this great occasion. Thank you for all those who were in attendance. After the ceremony there was a great time of fellowship with many sharing memories of their time at camp.



Colin Bartholomew, chairman of the Victory Valley Camp board, welcomed everyone to this exciting milestone celebration. Doug Manwiller, current director, shared and recognized two past directors in attendance, Jonathan Reynolds and Phil Atkins. He thanked them for their service to the Lord and the impact they had on the ministry of the camp. Pastor Ron Kohl, representing the Executive Board of the Bible Fellowship Church, spoke on the impact VVC has had on him personally and on the Bible Fellowship Churches as a denomination. David Zettlemoyer, a recent summer staff member, shared about the impact that this new dining hall will have on the ministry of Victory Valley Camp. Photos of the groundbreaking can be viewed here.
